Sexual Assault and Abuse are unwanted sexual activities with perpetrators using force. Sexual abuse is making threats or taking advantage of victims not being able to give consent. Most victims and perpetrators know each other. Sexual assault can take many different forms. Abuse can be defined in different ways. One thing remains the same: it’s never the victim’s fault. When a perpetrator intentionally harms a minor physically, psychologically, sexually, or by acts of neglect, the crime is known as child abuse.
